I was recently honored to be one of the first Cataract & Refractive Surgeons in the United States to implant the brand-new FDA approved Alcon AcrySof® IQ PanOptix® Trifocal IOL.
Here are a few of moments from the momentous occasion in the operating room. At the time of surgery I also utilized Alcon’s ORA™ intraoperative aberrometry system for further precision as well as Alcon’s Centurion® state of the art phacoemulsification system.
This PanOptix lens is a breakthrough for cataract patients worldwide allowing for 20/20 vision potential at distance, intermediate, and near.
Update: The patient’s outcome was superb! Crisp and clear uncorrected vision at all measured distances. The patient can’t wait to have surgery on their fellow eye.
